How to define Volume workflow operations in Product Management Console (PMC)?

We recommend configuring Volume workflow operations in the Product Management Console (PMC). In Volume configurations you can:

• Define which operations will be run: Verify, Diagnostics, and Eraser.
• Select verification checks for Verify.
• Select test sets, test cases, and order in which test sets are run.
• Select erasing methods for each of the mobile operating systems.

Set up the Volume workflow the following way:

1. In the side menu, select Configurations > Volume workflows.
2. In the main view, select Volume configurations tab.
3. Select +Create configuration, and select an operation from a drop-down list:

Verify configuration

4. Enter a Configuration name
5. Select +Create rule
6. Enter a Rule name
   1. Select one or more Checks
   2. Optionally add Device filters
      Note With filters you can filter specific platforms, manufacturers, models, and device mobile operating systems.

7. Select Save to save a rule
8. Select Save to save a configuration

Diagnostics configuration

9. Enter a Configuration name
10. Select +Create rule
11. Enter a Rule name
    1. Select one or more Test cases.
       Note With an option Select all, all test sets and all test cases within test sets will be selected.
       Note Open each test set to select individual test cases.
       Optionally drag test sets to rearrange the order in which test sets are performed.
    2. Optionally add Device filters
       Note With filters you can filter specific platforms, manufacturers, models, and device mobile operating systems.
12. Select Save to save a rule
13. Select Save to save a configuration

Eraser configuration

14. Enter a Configuration name

15. Select iOS erasing rules (for all iOS devices)

16. Select Android erasing rules:

    • For Android 2.2 to Android 6.0.1
    • For Android 7.0 and later operating systems

17. Select Save to save a configuration

After configurations and rules for Verify, Diagnostics, and Eraser have been configured, set up the Volume workflow the following way:

18. In the side menu, select Configurations > Volume workflows

19. In the main view, select Volume workflows tab

20. Select +Create workflow

21. Enter a Workflow name

22. Select a product from the dropdown list

23. Select a previously created Verify configuration

24. Select a previously created Diagnostics configuration

25. Select a previously created Eraser configuration

26. Select Save to save a workflow
